Barry Marsh has been an attorney with the Hinshaw Law Firm since 1987. Mr. Marsh’s legal career has been dedicated to the representation of health care providers in professional negligence lawsuits. Mr. Marsh is a seasoned trial attorney, representing heath care providers in more than one hundred jury trials. He has successfully defended numerous high profile cases on his clients’ behalf, against leading plaintiffs’ attorneys. Mr. Marsh specializes in lawsuits arising from catastrophic injuries, such as birth injury and cerebral palsy, brain damage, wrongful death, delays in diagnosis of cancer, and paraplegia cases. He has represented health care providers in mass tort litigation, including the class action suits involving Fen Phen and Baycol.

Mr. Marsh has lectured on medical-legal issues at the state and local level, including presentations to the Physician Insurers Association of America and its affiliates. He has an “AV” peer review rating.

Mr. Marsh was born in San Francisco, California in 1956. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University (Beta Gamma Sigma) in 1981. He also received his undergraduate degree (B.S., cum laude) from Santa Clara University in 1979. He is admitted to practice law in all California trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court, Northern District of California, and before the United State Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
